This service is designed for use by New Zealand businesses who must comply with the new covid19 Goverment regulations which require businesses to keep a record of who has visited their premises. Individuals may scan QR Codes upon entering business premises and submit their personal information to our service. Individuals may also use our service at home for the purposes of contact tracing.
No. Visitors are free to choose to log their contact information with the business itself using pen and paper or some other method.
All visitor data collected by our service should be treated as confidential. Under no circumstance are you to share this data with any third party other than Visitor Log or the New Zealand Government. You may download a copy of the data in CSV format and retain a copy of it for up to 1 month. During this time you agree to keep the visitor data secure. After 1 month you agree to delete the visitor data. You may use the visitor data for the sole purpose of contact tracing. The data is not to be used for any other reason.
Our service is provided as-is and we are funded through donations. In the unlikely event we are unable to continue providing our service we may decide to suspend accounts. In the unlikely case that accounts need to be suspended, we will inform you via email. You will still be able to access your logbooks however visitor logging will be suspended. Accounts will be reactivated as soon as we have sufficient funding.
